Anyone who knows me is familiar with
my obsession with drawing. Since I first
scribbled on my Big Chief drawing pad
in kindergarten, I've come to understand
that more than just a mechanical skill,
drawing is a way of thinking.

As a visual artist, I have been busy
as animator, children's book illustrator,
editorial and advertising illustrator,
journalist, columnist, teacher, trainer,
and...on this site you will see personal
work for sale. I am always ready to
discuss assignments and commissions.

For the past two years, Mike Reed has attended rehearsals
and workplaces where he has documented dancers, singers,
musicians, chefs, and even hair stylists. The collection of
work explores the gestures of people at practice and work.
The work demostrates how he has translated the discipline
of practice from one artist to another. All works at the
exhibition are for sale.
